“ If I could rate this experience more than 5 stars, I would. We had a 7pm reservation on a Friday night for 6 people. We were seated promptly and our coats were taken away which was a great perk. The space was cozy, maybe a little cramped but not a big deal. The waiter was very helpful in his recommendations. He advised us to choose 5-6 plates that we wanted to try and order 2 of each so that everyone could try everything. We ordered: Warm winter salad - bites with the crunchy squash were insanely good Carrots - great texture and paired well with the labneh Broccoli - very good Winter squash caramelle - the filling in these was a flavor explosion, incredible Mushroom focaccia - more like a brioche but wow was it perfectly crispy and flavorful Braised beef rigatoni - easily the star of the show, we all still can't stop texting about it. Whatever you do, get this. Salmon - the salmon was perfect, the star of the dish was the sauce and the gnocchi I ordered the Rye cocktail and it was so good I ordered another instead of trying something else. The NA offerings were popular, and so was the wine. Would highly recommend this for a special occasion. ”
“ The Antler Room is the best meal you'll have in Kansas City that's not BBQ. Every time we eat here, we find ourselves going full. Creativity and imagination define the cuisine. It is basically modern upscale continental cuisine filling a big whole in the Kansas City culinary scene, there service is great. I'm happy to have this experience ”
“ I've been here a couple of times and across the board it's better than similar fine-ish dining places in KC. From my last visit months ago (time for another visit soon). Cauliflower ($14): Yum. Beef tartare ($19): Kind of tart, but good. Spaghetti ($19): Solid. Spinach & four cheese panzotti ($20): Not bad, but a little bitter. Grilled Spanish octopus ($24): Not particularly memorable so I assume it was fine. Duck confit ($31) Flavorful and well-cooked duck, but the coconut cream and taste felt out of place. Citrus panna cotta ($12): Meh. Not worth it. The matcha madeleines had a strong matcha flavor but were dry. I'd have expected yuzu flavor not orange. Grilled pound cake ($13): Good, but never enough ice cream... ”
“ Went for a date night - I do wish there was more space inside, because all the tables are set up right next to each other, so there's not much privacy between you and the person sitting right next to you. Overall ambiance was just okay then. Service was still great. Our server took the time to explain the dinner menu for that day and gave us recommendations on what and how much to order. The plates themselves are definitely on the smaller side, intended as shareables. For the food, I think overall it was okay. Definitely some more creative pairings and presentations, but flavor was somewhat flat for some of the dishes we got. The crispy mushroom focaccia and the seared swordfish were really good and unique, but the other two dishes (which I can't remember the names of, maybe seared tuna for one, and some form of tomato braised beef) were only average. However, they do have a rotating menu - at the time of me writing this review, they've already rotated out those latter two dishes that I wasn't a fan of, so your experience might vary! Finally, we got the chocolate and tahini banana cake which was definitely really unique - however, I do think our dessert was unfortunately slightly burnt, and the burntness was coming through. It's still on their dessert menu though, so I'd still recommend giving it a chance! Overall, I'd come again, but just be wary of the overall dining space. I love how they keep their rotating menu, so that's all the more reason to try it again! ”
“ Stunning ambiance, food and service, we ordered 8 items between the 4 of us and were perfectly content. I had the on tap IPA and we had the pork belly, a salad, spaghetti and a number of other delightful combinations all one better than the next. Can't wait to go back! ”

“ I'll let y'all in on my ultimate Yelp beta: if you're in city you've never been before and want to find a place with farm-to-table food and craft cocktails, the best thing to do is search "hipster". I find that to be much more efficient that typing "farm to table" or "cocktails". If you don't believe me, do it to the place where you live and see what comes up! Anyway, it worked here. I had goat from a local farm. I sat and chatted with world-traveled, friendly locals. I had crisp local beer and complex house-made cocktails. Ambiance is lovely and the location is hidden next to some big Marriott hotels. Hidden well enough to elude most obnoxious business travelers (not this one though!) while still being a very short walk from the Sheraton. ”
“ We came here for our anniversary. Hubs chose and he did a great job picking to go here. He even made the reservation. When we got there, we were sat immediately. The place is nice. I lime that the bar is separate from the dining area. The restaurant is "small plates" so we ordered 5 plates. All of the food was really good. I had 2 glasses of wine and hubs had missed drinks and a Japanese beer. Our service was impeccable. We even had dessert which we normally don't do. We will definitely be back. ”
“ It has been a bit since I posted about @antlerroomkc This is a must for everyone who lives in KC or is visiting KC. @leslienewsam and @nicholasgoellner have hired a team of people who are amazing. This comes through in the service, knowledge of their product, and the food. We love @antlerroomkc for the food but come back every other Sunday for the people. Menu highlights for me right now are the Little Gem salad...crab and trout roe with a sesame dressing. The duck fat roasted carrots with whipped tahini. The braised goat with couscous and tomatoes. Also the Campanelle pasta with feta and spring vegetables. Honestly could keep going. ”
